The BEST Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

Soft pumpkin spice bars topped with fluffy maple cream cheese frosting. Baked in a sheet pan, so there is plenty for a crew!
Servings: 24 bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups pumpkin puree (1 can)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • cups flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
Frosting
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • pinch salt
  • cinnamon (if desired for dusting)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉. Grease or line a sheet pan (18 x 13) with parchment paper
  2. Whisk melted butter and sugars together
  3. Add eggs, pumpkin, and vanilla
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients until just combined
  5. Spread evenly into pan
  6. Bake 22-28 minutes until center is just set
  7. Cool completely before frosting
Frosting
  1. In a stand mixer, combing butter and cream cheese until smooth
  2. Add vanilla and maple syrup and mix
  3. Add powdered sugar and a pinch of salt
  4. Frost bars once they're completely cooled, dust on cinnamon if desired
