- In a medium sauce pan, melt butter
- Once cooled, add brown and white sugars and whisk until smooth
- Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla (do not mix in until the butter is cooled!)
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined
- Fold in chocolate chips and chocolate chunks
- Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours then scoop into 3 TBS balls
- Prepare sheet pans with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350℉
- Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers still look slightly soft
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
